Higher School of Doctoral Studies (PhD) - implements the European Union project "DERECKA" – Project aims to strengthen research and innovation potential in Kyrgyzstan through the promotion of doctoral degrees. The following programs have been updated as part of the project:

PhD educational programs are an integral part of the educational concept and Development Strategy of the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic. The goal of the PhD program is to train world-class scientific personnel with fundamental scientific training, mastery of modern information technologies, including methods of obtaining, processing and storing scientific information, who are able to organize and conduct research activities in their chosen scientific speciality.
History of the Higher School of Doctoral Studies of (PhD)
The PhD Higher School was opened on September 1, 2013 on the basis of the Decision of the Academic Council of the ESPC «IUK» No. 7 on April 16, 2013.
In accordance with the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2013-2017, Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 733/1 dated December 12, 2012 “On organizing an experiment on the development and implementation of doctoral programs (PhD),” the working group developed Temporary State Requirements for universities implementing pilot doctoral programs (PhD) of postgraduate professional education. Temporary Regulations for the implementation of pilot doctoral programs of postgraduate professional education (PhD) have been developed. In 2013, IUK received a license from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. LG130000028) to implement experimental educational programs for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in economics, business management and public health. The above-mentioned pilot PhD programs were started at IUK, BAFE, KSUCTA named after. N. Isanov, KNAU named after K.I. Scriabin, KNU named after. Zh. Balasagyn (IIMOP) and KSTU named after. I. Razzakov.
The staff of the PhD Higher School and teachers constantly undergo internships and trainings at the local and international levels, and actively participate in international conferences and seminars.
In 2021, IUKR received a license (LS210001164) from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic for professional educational programs of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the areas: 580100 Economics, 580700 Business Management and 530500 Jurisprudence;
2022 - 530500 Jurisprudence, 531000 Philology (English);
2025 - 530300 Psychology, 550700 Pedagogy, 531600 Regional Studies, 520800 Ecology and Nature Management, 580200 Management
MISSION AND TASKS OF THE HIGH SCHOOL PhD
The mission of the PhD Higher School is aimed at developing intellectual excellence, as well as meeting the needs of the local and foreign labor market for highly qualified personnel through the implementation of continuous multi-level education based on domestic traditions and the best world experience.
OUR TASKS:
- Transformation of PhD educational programs in accordance with world practice in training scientific personnel;
- Providing quality composition of teachers and researchers working on PhD programs;
- Providing quality training of doctoral students aimed at strengthening the research competence of students;
- Creation of favorable research environment.
The key distinction of the Graduate School's PhD programs is to ensuring an optimal balance and logical relationship between learning and research activities of the students, aimed at training scientific researchers of world-class scientific researchers.

Payment:
1. For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic - 1800 dollar per year
2. For citizens of states that have concluded an intergovernmental agreement - 1800 dollar per year
3. For citizens of states that have not concluded an intergovernmental agreement - 2500 dollar per year
4. For employees of the Academic Consortium of ESPC «IUK» - 140 000 soms per year.
